All in season adds will be done via the waiver process. A team signing any player assumes his full contract according to Cotts. If needed a corresponding drop will have to be made with the team paying 50% of the dropped players salary for the year he is dropped and 25% for all the remaining of the contract years. A waiver transaction should follow this format: Team A claims P:Joe Smith $6M 2014 $6 2015 A roster drop should follow this format. Team A drops SS Fred Jones $6M 2014 $6M 2015 Cap Hit $3M 2014 $1.5M 2015.
A waiver claim can be made at anytime, If the claim stands for 24 hours and no team with a higher claim priority puts a claim on that player, it goes to the team who originated the claim.
For a claim to be valid the team making the claim must have enough cap space available to complete the entire transaction.
If 2 or more teams have a valid claim on a player the team with highest waiver priority will get the player.
At the start of the season the league will establish a waiver order.
Once a team uses his waiver claim that team goes to bottom of the waiver list and every team lower on the list moves up.
If there are multiple waivers the same week all teams will drop to the bottom of the list with the team with the best record going to last then 2nd best 3rd best etc.
