Let me try to go over the Minor League stuff.
1. You will have 10 days following the last pick of the LOPD to have an official Minor League Roster posted on the web site.
2. Any player with 1 AB or 1 IP, can be drafted now in the LOPD. If a player from your 2 organizations that has not been selected and he has less than 150 AB or 50 IP, you can add him to your minor league roster during the 10 days following the LOPD.
3. Any Minor League player in your 2 organizations that has no MLB AB's or IP is your property and cannot be selected by another team now. However if you do not protect one of these players now, and they are traded to another organization in "real life" they become the automatic property of that team.
4. The players in your 2 organizations that have no MLB AB's or IP, are the minor league players that you can trade now.
5. If you receive a minor league player in a trade and he is not protected by you when the minor league rosters are official after the 10 days following the LOPD the team that traded him to you can claim him back.
I hope this explains things a little better, I am also going to put this info in a thread under League News, if you have any other questions please post them there so that everyone can see them.

Here are a few questions:
*What happens in 2014 during the season when we might want to bid/claim on minor leaguers? How does that process work?
*What happens after the 2014 FYPD draft - how do the minor leaguers get assigned or bid on?
*What happens with international guys that are signed?

Players with more than 1 AB or 1 IP, that are not protected by a team are eligible to be claimed during the season, please see the section 11 (In Season Add Drops) in the rules section. This also means that a player who had no MLB AB's or IP, and gets a call up and a AB or IP and is not protected, that player is eligible to go through the claiming process.
All players drafted by your 2 organizations are automatically your property, and are able to be protected or traded, as long as the rules of their playing time are followed.
Same with international players, they belong to the team who has the organization that they are signed to.
We hope that doing things this way encourages owners to keep up with their organizations and have to manage their fantasy organizations much like real owners have to. That means making decisions on who to keep on 40 man rosters, who to protect in their minor league system, who to take a chance on not protecting and hope that they do not get traded by their real life team.
If anyone has any other suggestions please bring them up.
