Bethancourt had one ab last year so he had to be protected as one of your original 12. At least that is my understanding of the rules.

Christian Bentacourt belongs to the New York Redsox. A player that has had 1 AB or 1IP can not be protected on your minor league roster until the end of the LOPD.
The New York Brave are aware of this and understands. He will be removing him from his Minor League Thread.
